January 24, 2025

(Mount Pearl, Canada) - Compusult, a world-leading geospatial software firm with headquarters in Newfoundland and Labrador, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a major contract with the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) for the development and implementation of the Communication Portal for Integrated Incident Response (CPIIR) project.

The CPIIR project is a strategic initiative by the Canadian Coast Guard aimed at refining its incident response capabilities in alignment with the Government of Canada Digital Standards Playbook and Policy on Service and Digital. The Coast Guard recognizes the need for an enhanced digital platform to build collaboration, efficiency, and effectiveness during maritime incidents, events, and exercises.

Celebrating its 40th year in 2025, Compusult has built a strong reputation for inventing cutting-edge technology solutions for clients worldwide. The CPIIR project marks another milestone in Compusult’s commitment to providing products and services to support vital operations for many organizations.

Barry O'Rourke, President of Compusult, is excited about the new collaboration. "We are honoured to have been selected by the Canadian Coast Guard for this critical project. Compusult is committed to leveraging our expertise in information technology to deliver a robust and user-friendly solution that will significantly enhance the Coast Guard's incident response capabilities."

The CPIIR Solution aims to provide a comprehensive platform for standardized usage of the Incident Command System, facilitate collaboration with response partners, including Indigenous communities, and establish a national communications tool for tracking response incidents from occurrence to closure. By deploying an Incident Management Solution and enhancing Integrated Incident Command System (ICS) Services capabilities, Compusult's solution will support the Coast Guard in managing both routine incidents and large-scale, complex emergencies effectively.

This partnership underscores Compusult's dedication to innovation, and its ability to develop tailored solutions to meet the evolving needs of organizations worldwide. Compusult looks forward to collaborating closely with the Canadian Coast Guard to ensure the successful implementation of the CPIIR project, thereby enhancing Canada's marine response capabilities and promoting a safe and efficient marine transportation sector.
